Beyond the Browser
Most software engineers today are detached from the physical reality of the systems they build. They write NPM packages, configure React components, and deploy to abstracted cloud platforms. But the truth is, the digital world runs on physical constraints.
To me, being a "Full-Stack Engineer" doesn't mean knowing both React and Node.js. It means understanding the entire stack of reality—from chemistry, physics, electrical, and electronics engineering, all the way up to the Rust backend and the HTMX frontend.
Physics as a Container
I view physics not as absolute, unshakeable reality, but simply as a set of rules within a material container, working under Krishna's external potency (Bahiranga Shakti).
However, within this material container, these rules dictate everything. If you don't understand the physical limits of a network switch, the thermal limits of bare-metal edge servers, or the speed of light in a fiber optic cable, you cannot architect truly massive distributed systems.
Building for the Mission
When we architect solutions for ISKCON Mayapur, we aren't just putting together puzzle pieces. If necessary, I can rack and configure bare-metal edge servers, wire a building, or construct a full ISP from scratch.
By deeply understanding the hardware—the literal bare metal—we can build fully parallel, distributed systems capable of handling YouTube-level traffic. This isn't just theory; it's pragmatic, physical engineering offered as devotional service.
