Chapter 2, Verse 47: Detachment from Results
"You have a right to perform your prescribed duties, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your actions."
In engineering terms: focus on writing excellent code, not on the outcome. Ship quality work and detach from whether it goes viral or gets ignored.
Chapter 3, Verse 35: Follow Your Nature
"It is far better to discharge one's prescribed duties, even though faultily, than another's duties perfectly."
Do not chase trends. If your nature draws you to systems programming, dive deep into systems programming. Authenticity produces mastery.
Chapter 6, Verse 5: Self-Discipline
"A man must elevate himself by his own mind, not degrade himself."
Engineering growth is a personal responsibility. No company, no mentor, no bootcamp can replace the discipline of daily practice and self-study.
Chapter 18, Verse 45: Excellence in Action
"By following his qualities of work, every man can become perfect."
Excellence is not about the domain -- it is about the devotion you bring to the work. A perfectly written script is as valuable as a perfectly designed distributed system, when both are done with full attention and care.
